Assembling a Linjett
Upon completion of the woodwork, all the other fittings, such as metal, electrical, water and LPG components, are to be installed. This work is carried out at the boatyard. For the purpose our craftsmen may have up to ten boats to assemble. Two workers per boat devote their time to put together all fittings according to customer specification.
We always strive to keep in touch with each customer during all stages of boat building. Regular visits to the yard facilitate straightforward communication, which is valued very much at Rosättra.
Important details above and under deck…
On deck many different mountings and woodwork are assembled. This requires creative and well thought-out solutions allowing for an appropriate, simple and functional, deck layout. All detail is given to make life on board as pleasant as possible. Each Linjett is built for and by people whose passion for sailing is as genuine and intense as your own.
Carefully selected suppliers
Rosättra boatyard only acquire and install reliable products supplied by a few selected contractors. We have approximately 20 main and 50 minor suppliers, all identified by their ability to provide us with the right product at the right price.
Refining and fitting parts
When most functional parts - such as heating, electricity, water and engine - are in place, the woodwork, which has been varnished in special chambers, is also to be installed. Below decks, the roofing, doors and decorative elements will subsequently be fit. In parallel with this procedure, every component is checked, adjusted and rectified, as appropriate.
Preparing for launching
Before launching the boat, a sprayhood is fitted and below the waterline primer and antifouling is applied. At last, the national flag is flown and the boat is ready to be taken for her maiden voyage.
